    Puerto Maldonado

    Puerto Maldonado to the lodge

    Arrive in Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the office for registration and luggage storage before continuing to the lodge. After lunch, head out for the canopy tower and then the zipline activity. Your local guide will point out birds and explain the flora and fauna found in the area.

    Lake Sandoval

    Lake Sandoval

    After breakfast, travel to the reserve entrance and continue with a rainforest walk to Lake Sandoval. Spend time on the lake by canoe and look for wildlife such as giant otters, birds, butterflies, turtles, and fish. The rest of the day is free to rest at the lodge.

    Puerto Maldonado

    Parakeet clay lick and return to Puerto Maldonado

    Leave the lodge early to reach the parakeet clay lick at daybreak. After breakfast back at the lodge, return by boat to Puerto Maldonado and continue to the airport or bus station for departure.
