This 7-day trip focuses on northern and north-eastern Vietnam, with time in Hanoi, Ha Giang, Cao Bang and Ba Be. It brings together mountain roads, ethnic minority villages, limestone scenery and several of the region’s best-known natural sites. In Ha Giang, the route reaches the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a UNESCO-listed area known for its rocky landscapes and high passes. The journey also includes Ban Gioc Waterfall on the border with China, Nguom Ngao Cave and Ba Be National Park, where the trip includes a homestay stay and time on Ba Be Lake.     Arrival in Hanoi

    Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel in the city centre. The room is available from 2:00 pm. The rest of the day is free.

    Hanoi to Ha Giang

    Drive to Ha Giang and continue to Phuong Do village, home to a Tay community. Walk through the village, then enjoy dinner and an evening music performance.

    Dong Van

    Ha Giang to Dong Van

    Travel into the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, crossing high passes and deep valleys. Stop at Pho Bang old town, Lung Cam village and the Vuong Palace before settling in Dong Van for the night.
