The route moves between Male, the Vaavu Atoll and nearby islands, with nights spent on board and one hotel night at the start of the trip. The pace is relaxed. Days are shaped around the sea, with reef snorkelling, short cruising legs and visits to places such as Felidhoo and Fulidhoo. Male
Arrive in Male
Join the trip at the hotel in Male. There is a welcome meeting in the afternoon, followed by a walking orientation through the city for those arriving in time. The route includes the mosque area, the fish market and the waterfront. - 2
Vaavu Atholhu
Cruise to Vaavu Atoll
Travel to Hulhumale Marina and board the dhoni. After breakfast on board and an introduction from the crew, sail south through the Vaadhoo Channel into Vaavu Atoll. Stop for island time and an afternoon of snorkelling or relaxing on deck. - 3
Vaavu Atholhu
Snorkelling and sandbank time
Continue south if conditions allow, or remain in Vaavu Atoll for more snorkelling. The day includes reef stops, swimming and time on or near a sandbank in the late afternoon, before spending the night aboard.
