Inca Treasures: Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain in Peru

This 6-day trip begins and ends in Cusco and covers some of the best-known Inca sites in the region. Travel through the Sacred Valley, visit Chinchero, Moray and the Maras salt pools, then continue by train to Aguas Calientes for a guided visit to Machu Picchu. The route also includes a day in the Andes at Q'eswachaka, the Inca rope bridge, and a full day at Rainbow Mountain. Accommodation, guided visits, selected meals and transfers are included, along with transport between the main stops.

    Cusco

    Arrival in Cusco

    Arrive in Cusco and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for rest and altitude acclimatisation. Overnight in Cusco.

    Aguas Calientes

    Chinchero, Moray and Maras

    Leave Cusco for Chinchero, where you will see Inca walls, a colonial church and a short demonstration linked to Andean weaving. Continue to Moray and the Maras salt pools before heading to Ollantaytambo station for the train to Aguas Calientes.

    Cusco

    Machu Picchu

    Take the bus up from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu for a guided visit of around two hours. Return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then travel by train to Ollantaytambo and continue back to Cusco.
