East Sabah brings together rainforest, river wildlife and coastal landscapes in one compact route across Borneo. Over eight days, travel from Kota Kinabalu into the hills of Kundasang, on to the Kinabatangan River and the wildlife areas around Sandakan, before finishing on Pulau Libaran and returning to Kota Kinabalu. The trip includes village visits, time with local hosts, river cruises and stops linked to orangutan and sun bear conservation. There is also time to see the coast and to move between each area by road, boat and short flight. It is a practical way to experience the eastern side of Sabah without rushing through it.
