Chile Lakes and Atacama Desert

Travel through Chile from the capital to the north of the Atacama Desert and then on to the Lake District in the south. The route links Santiago, Valparaíso and Viña del Mar with San Pedro de Atacama, the Salar de Atacama, Socaire, Toconao, El Tatio and Valle de la Luna, before continuing to Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, Osorno Volcano, Ensenada and Petrohué. In Santiago, the itinerary includes time in the city and a transfer on arrival. On the Pacific side, Valparaíso and Viña del Mar add port views, hill neighborhoods and a coastal stop. In the desert, the program reaches salt flats, high-altitude villages, geysers and lunar landscapes. The final section moves to the Lake District for volcano and waterfall scenery around Puerto Varas. This is a 10-day small-group trip with hotel nights in Santiago, San Pedro de Atacama and Puerto Varas, plus transfers and the guided tours described in the itinerary.
